WHAT'S HAPPENING...
My name is Karina Li, I am currently a sophomore in high school and an Eagle Scout Candidate in Troop 42 Quincy. As I began planning my Eagle Scout project, I was encouraged to plan a project that will be both meaningful to me and the community. I had always loved to do art and wanted to create some type of mural for my project.
I will be creating three murals on a wall near Arthur and Nelson street, in Ward 4 in Quincy. My hope is to create a bright and welcoming environment for those that live in the neighborhood and something for everyone to enjoy as they walk by.
The reason I chose this location was because this project provides the opportunity to spread positivity and sunshine in the community I grew up in.
My name is Ruoyuan Li, and I am a Scout from Troop 42 in Quincy, Massachusetts. I've been part of the Scouting program for seven years, with the goal of becoming an Eagle Scout. Currently holding the Life Rank, I am working on my Eagle Scout project, which aims to benefit the veterans of Quincy.
Inspired by my great-great-grandfather and great-grandfather, both veterans, I chose to honor all veterans by enhancing the area outside the Quincy Veterans Services Department Headquarters. The project involves installing three benches to create a welcoming resting area and includes landscaping and cleanup efforts. I am seeking $3,000 in donations to fund the benches and materials, with contributions directed to “Quincy Friends of Scouting” and marked for "Ruoyuan’s Eagle Project." This project is significant to me as it contributes to community improvement. Your support and generosity are greatly appreciated!
